Your Privacy
It is Joingy’s policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our website. Accordingly, we have developed this cookie and privacy policy in order for you to understand how we collect, use, communicate, disclose and otherwise make use of personal information. We have outlined our policies below.
Joingy’s website and app stores chat logs with timestamps of conversations that take place on our platform for moderation and law enforcement purposes. We also store the IP addresses of the users involved with each chat session for moderation and law enforcement purposes.
Understand that anything you say on our platform is transmitted to other people. Additionally, users can choose to save public chat logs of their conversations that are stored on our servers and can be shared with anyone. Please be careful revealing any information to strangers you meet.
Webcams in video conversations may be monitored for moderation and law enforcement purposes. This can include but is not limited to, capturing image screenshots of webcams that are stored on our servers and can be used to identify if a user is breaking our Chat Rules or Terms & Conditions.
When you visit our website, our servers may automatically log the standard data provided by your web browser. It may include your computer’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, your browser type and version, the pages you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on each page, and other details.
When using the video chat section, users are connected peer-to-peer in order to view each other’s webcam feed. To do this, it is necessary to make a user’s IP address available to the partners they connect with. We do not list users IP addresses on our website or app, but using certain software it can be intercepted by other users that you connect to. If you are not comfortable with this, please use our text chat section instead.
Joingy uses cookies to save your website/app preferences, including but not limited to keywords entered using our ‘Interest’ feature. Additionally, Joingy assigns a random cookie ID to your computer that is used to connect users to each other for chatting purposes.
Third-party advertising vendors, including Google AdMob, use cookies to track information about the pages you visit so that they can show you more appropriate ads. The cookie used by Google AdMob is called the DoubleClick DART cookie, and Google provides a way to opt-out of being tracked by DART. You may also opt-out of the tracking cookies used by many other third-party ad vendors.
Joingy uses Google Analytics and Matomo to track non-personally-identifying statistical information about site usage. Google provides a browser add-on to opt-out of Google Analytics.
